PGA Golf Management

About Us

The PGA Golf Management program at UNL is administratively housed in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) within the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) . CASNR works closely with the other two colleges involved: Business Administration , and Education and Human Sciences . Guidance and direction are provided by the PGM Advisory Committee comprised of faculty in all three colleges. The Center for Grassland Studies within IANR coordinates the activities and administrative functions of the program.

The PGA Golf Management program at UNL is a team effort. The following dedicated people are available to assist students as they progress through the program.

Responsible for all aspects of the PGA Golf Management Program, providing direction for staff, advising students, co-advising the Student Club, and working with the advisory groups as well as his counterparts at other PGA Golf Management schools on matters that affect the program on a national scale.

Manages the Internship Program, provides support for PGA Golf Management courses that help prepare students to pass PGA Checkpoints, assists with recruitment and student activities such as golf tournaments, co-advises Student Club, and provides individualized golf instruction to students as needed.

Provides administrative support to PGA Golf Management Director and Coordinator, repsonsibilites include significant input in the development, delivery and assessment of the PGMP courses, strong involvement with student recruitment, lead role in retention activities and events coordination, preparation/submission of reports to the PGA, responding to student needs, and day-to-day office management.

Also holds the titles of Foundation Distinguished Professor and President Emeritus of The University of Nebraska.
